Crispy Spicy Beef

I did it again….I tried a new recipe. I found this recipe on allrecipes.com. It’s flank steak cut into small strips, covered in cornstarch, salt n pepper and then deep fried until golden brown. Then you make a sauce with soy, chili paste, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, and so on. You saute onions, peppers, and I added mushrooms, then throw in the meet and let it all simmer for a little. It was great. My husband and brother loved it. I served it over rice. I have been trying a couple new recipes a month, and this one is a keeper. Except it called for fresh ginger and I used powdered ginger, which apparently is stronger, so a word to the wise…use less when using powdered anything…..other than that it was great, if I do say so myself. Tootles.
