Hurrican Ridge

Hurrican Ridge is the name of a place in Port Angeles Washington. If you drive to the summit of the mountain, which only takes about a half hour, you can see the entire Olympic Mountain Range. It is the most beautiful sight on a clear day. It seems you could just reach out and touch the mountains. We were up so high there was still snow. And the mountain caps are covered in snow, which made it that much more beautiful. I recommend it for a good day, or weekend trip if you live far away. It is worth the drive. Make sure to bring your camera. We saw tons of deer on the drive up. If you’re lucky you can see other wildlife up there in the summer time. Make sure you use the bathroom before you drive up the mountain. There is a lodge at the summit, but it’s not always open. Although the bathroom was accesible even though the lodge was closed. But bring lots of batteries for the camera, snacks, drinks, and a jacket…just incase you get a cold front come through. It’s great for sledding in the winter time too. Have fun. Tootles.
